A Tour-Inspired Collaboration

The development of the OZ.1i was driven by the unique needs and preferences of elite golfers. L.A.B. Golf collaborated with Adam Scott to bring this vision to life, starting in early 2023. His input, drawn from his experience and preferences, played a pivotal role in shaping the putter’s design. Inspired by the rear contours of a high-performance 2021 German sports car and the front of an iconic mallet putter, the final design balances tradition and innovation. After numerous prototypes and refinements, the OZ.1i emerged as a sleek, half-moon-style mallet that combines beauty with functionality.

Face Insert Options

The OZ.1i introduces L.A.B. Golf’s first face insert, offering golfers greater control over sound and feel. Its 303 stainless steel insert provides a firmer feel and faster ball speeds, catering to those who prefer a crisp impact. For golfers seeking a softer feel, the aluminum-bodied OZ.1 model replicates the feedback of L.A.B.’s popular DF3 putter. Both versions maintain identical dimensions and shapes, ensuring consistency across the OZ.1 lineup.

Solid-Body Construction for Enhanced Performance

The OZ.1i stands out as L.A.B. Golf’s first solid-body mallet putter, forgoing the large cutouts and fangs found in other models. This innovative design enhances the sound and feel, offering a more traditional mallet experience. Despite its “normal” appearance, the OZ.1i retains the hallmark forgiveness and stability that L.A.B. Golf mallets are known for, rivaling the DF3 and MEZZ.1 MAX in performance.
