Introducing Roots Raptor Driver
The Roots Raptor Driver is engineered for both distance and control, thanks to its innovative face material—Armet Super Alloy. As the only driver in the world to feature this ultra-dense alloy, it significantly enhances performance by creating a shallow center of gravity, making it easier to control compared to traditional deep-CG drivers.
Why Armet Super Alloy? Unlike other metals, Armet Super Alloy flexes like rubber, cradling the ball at impact and launching it with unparalleled speed. While titanium drivers are known for their distance, the Armet face takes it further, delivering a level of power that is truly exceptional.
What is Armet Steel? Armet is a high-strength alloy developed by Carpenter Technology, consisting of 15% cobalt, 11% nickel, 2% chromium, and 1% molybdenum. Its durability and resilience make it an ideal choice for high-performance applications, from F-18 fighter jet landing gears to race car propeller shafts. By harnessing these qualities, the Roots Raptor Driver offers golfers maximum ball speed and distance while maintaining durability.
High-Repulsion Design The Raptor Driver is precision-engineered to the limits of the legal coefficient of restitution (COR), with each head undergoing CT value testing. Its ultra-thin face, reduced to just 0.9 mm in the thinnest areas, ensures a high rebound effect across a large surface area.
Wide Repulsion with 3x Forged Cup Face By forging the Armet alloy three times, Roots has created a face that delivers consistent high repulsion over a wide area. This variable thickness face design provides explosive distance even on off-center hits, making it competition-ready under SLE regulations.
Origami Crown for Faster Ball Speeds The innovative "Origami Crown" design stores impact energy within the head, releasing it in a powerful burst that boosts ball speed. This structure also reduces spin, helping you achieve stronger, lower-spinning shots that maximize carry distance.
Maximized Distance with Ultra-Stiff Sole To further enhance distance, the Raptor Driver’s sole has been reinforced to minimize deformation during impact. This increased rigidity prevents energy loss, allowing the Armet face to flex more, leading to greater ball speed and longer drives.
